I started making craft t-shirts at home about ten years ago when my oldest son was born... and I found out that it wasn't as easy as it could have been!

Heat transfer vinyl is kinda like doing your own screen printing, but without the mess or expensive equipment.

Back then, there weren't as many choices, and it was hard to remember all of the settings and steps and tips and tricks...

Now, there are more types of heat transfer vinyl than ever.

There's EasyWeed and Stretch and Glitter and StripFlock and... it seems like the list goes on and on.

Trying to memorize every step and every setting...

What temperature should my iron or heat press be?

How much pressure do I use?

How long do I press it?...

Knowing and memorizing all of the steps for every type of vinyl has become almost impossible!

When you're working with heat transfer vinyl, there are a lot of things to know...

If you use a Cricut, Cameo or a Scan-n-Cut then you need to know...

What are the blade cut settings? 

Do I need to set the pressure? And if so, what pressure?

What speed should I cut at?

Next, you need to know how hot to apply it - and for how long - and how much pressure.

And that's just the basics...

What about things like "can it be layered?" or "what can I iron it to?"

I don't know about you, but I can't memorize those details for every different type of HTV...
